Sparse Foliage

Paul Klee, Sparse Foliage, 1934

A bit of cheer and whimsy. This makes me want to color. As with most of Klee’s work, I am so impressed how sophisticated it really is under the playfulness. Could I make such a restful composition? I don’t know. Probably not. This painting is easy on the eyes and the heart.
